Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains what NorCal Accounting Professionals ("we," "our," or "us") collects from visitors tonorcalaccountingprofessionals.com (the "Website"), what we do with it, and who else is involved. We serve businesses in Northern California. By using the Website you agree to the practices described here.
Information you give us:
We only receive information you choose to send us. The Website has two forms:
- Contact form: your first and last name, email address, your message, your phone number if you add one, and whether you agreed to receive text messages from us.
- Free guide form: your first and last name and your email address.
When you submit either form, the details are sent by email to the owner of NorCal Accounting Professionals. They are not kept in a database on the Website. Our email service passes that message to us, so it handles the details while delivering it. We use what you send only to reply to you, to send the guide you asked for, and to follow up about the reason you contacted us. If you agreed to text messages on the Contact form, we may text you at the phone number you gave. You can ask us to stop at any time.
Information collected automatically:
Unless you accept them (see "Google Tag Manager and your choices" below), we do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking tools on the Website. Like any website, the company that hosts it receives basic technical details when your browser loads a page, such as your internet address and browser type, so the pages can be delivered and kept secure. We do not use this to identify you.
The Contact and free guide forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that helps block spam and automated submissions. Cloudflare processes basic technical information from your browser for that check, as described in Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.
Cookies and local storage:
The Website does not set cookies of its own. It stores one small entry in your browser, named agm-consent, that remembers whether you accepted or declined Google Tag Manager (see below); it is needed to honor your choice and is not used to track you. We set no tracking cookies ourselves. If you accept, the Google services that Tag Manager loads can set their own cookies. On the Contact and free guide pages, the Cloudflare Turnstile security check may keep a small amount of data in your browser, only so the spam check can work. We do not use it to track you.
Fonts, images, and other content:
All fonts, images, and downloadable files on the Website are served from the Website itself. Our pages do not load fonts or images from other companies. The only scripts we load from another company are the Cloudflare Turnstile security check, on the Contact and free guide pages, and Google Tag Manager, only if you accept it.
Google Tag Manager and your choices:
The Website includes Google Tag Manager, a tool from Google that lets us add Google services, such as analytics or advertising, without changing the Website. It loads only if you click Accept All. Until you do, and if you click Decline All, nothing is loaded from Tag Manager. If you accept, Google receives basic technical details from your browser, and the Google services Tag Manager loads can set cookies and may use them to show our ads on other sites. Google's use of that information is described in Google's privacy policy.
Your choice is saved in your browser as an entry named agm-consent, so the bar does not ask again. It records only whether you accepted or declined and when.
- Your Privacy Choices: the button at the bottom of every page reopens your choice. Turn off advertising and analytics cookies and save, and Tag Manager stops loading on the page and on every page after it.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we treat it as a request not to share your data for advertising. We do not show the bar, Tag Manager does not load, and Your Privacy Choices shows that your request was honored.
Links to other sites:
The Website links to other sites. Opening one takes you away from our Website, and the privacy practices of that site apply instead. These links are:
- Our client intake page, which belongs to NorCal Accounting Professionals and is where new clients share the details we need to begin work.
- Our online booking calendar, run by Google, where you choose an appointment time.
- Google Maps, for the location of our service area.
- Our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.
- The QuickBooks and Intuit certification pages, and other professional organizations we belong to.
- The websites of the local businesses listed on our Local page.
- Other websites mentioned in our articles and resources.
We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy statements.
Sharing your information:
We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it for advertising unless you accept Google Tag Manager, as described below. We share form details only with the email service that delivers your form messages to us, and where the law requires it.
Do Not Track:
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not change how the Website works based on that signal. Your choices are controlled by the Accept All and Decline All bar, Your Privacy Choices, and Global Privacy Control, described above.
Your access to and control over information:
You can do the following at any time by contacting us at the email address or phone number below:
- See what information we have about you, if any.
- Correct any information we have about you.
- Ask us to delete any information we have about you.
- Stop future emails or text messages from us.
- Tell us any concern you have about how we use your information.
Security:
We take precautions to protect your information. The Website uses an encrypted connection (look for "https" at the start of the address and a closed lock icon in your browser). Only people who need your information to respond to you can see it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive financial details, such as account numbers or passwords, through the forms. We will tell you how to share those safely.
Children's privacy:
The Website is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy:
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
